Frostbike
I was lucky enough to get out of Bend for a couple days last week. I flew out to Minneapolis to visit with the boys and girls at Quality Bicycle Products. They are one of our distributors and one of the reasons that we can get your orders out so fast, even when we might be out of stock on a few items. Minnesota was fun and cold. I got to see one of my best friends from high school and college for the first time in 5+ years. He drank me under the table. I can only drink so much of the McCallan! I felt like she-it most of the next day. But it was still fun catching up.
Because of the jaunt out to the Twin Cities my workout schedule got really screwed up. Seems like I didn't get to do anything healthy for a week and a half! Sucks. But now I'm back in beautiful Bend and got to ski on Wednesday, and I'll ski a couple times this weekend - and maybe even ride if I get the chance on Sunday.
It was MeanTodd's B-Day on Wednesday, and Henry's is this weekend. So we're in a festive mood here at the World Headquarters.
We just sent out the first Ellsworth Evolve 29"er that we received. It's a pretty sweet looking bike. The medium sized bike weighed in at a fairly scant 27lbs.
Tomorrow morning is the American Birkebeiner in WI. They don't have a whole lot of snow and have had to shorten the course a good bit, and are actually making it an 'open track' event - which means it will be untimed - just for fun. I think Gore's 'Inconvenient Truth' really does have some valid points on the whole Global Warming issue. Boy, he's a smart guy - first he invented the Internet, and now he might win an Oscar!

Flyin' through nap time
Yikes, didn't make a post in a month. We're pretty damn busy here at WC. Skiing has been great, and the weather has been really nice for riding in the last week or two (but I skied anyway). We're in the middle of our 9th anniversary sale here at the shop - so we have some smokin' hot deals for the locals, but you'll have to come in to see all the great prices. We will be having some sale items on the site once the local sale is over, but it would be too crazy for us to do both at the same time. We're going to have a few new faces at WC in the next few weeks. Once I have more info on that, I will post it on the site.
We got a couple more RIP 9 frames in, and some more hardtails. Hard keeping the Niners in stock right now. We also got one of the Ellsworth Evolves - looks like a pretty cool bike. Hopefully we will have the Demo Evolve in the next month or two.
We've started talking about the 2007 Chainbreaker - should end up being on Mother's Day again - MAy 13th I think. Hopefully we can do it in the same place. We've also started talking about the Thrilla in the Milla - or some other venue. More on both of those later.
Well, it is 6:30, and I still have a few hours of work to do - so I gotta run.
