WebCyclery :: BIKE TRIALS

WebCyclery.com is the biggest trials dealer in the US. We're the importer for ECHO and we've got more trials bikes, frames, and parts than anybody.
New to trials? Mod bikes are the smaller 20" wheeled bikes. These are the easiest to learn on as the smaller wheels help a lot when learning to hop on the rear wheel, etc. Stock bikes use 26" wheels like your mountain bike. The bigger wheels make rolling up onto things a little easier but can be a little harder to learn on when compared to a mod bike. That said, we definitely sell more stock bikes than mod bikes. Either mod or stock bikes will make trials riding way easier than on your mountain bike.
The trials-specific geometry and construction makes for a stronger bike that's easier to maneuver. Just like a mountain bike with slick tires can be ridden on the road - it's nowhere near as efficient as a road bike. A trials bike will make your new venture into trials riding much more enjoyable. And help your skills, too. When there's snow on the ground in the winter - a simple trials course in your basement or garage will keep you riding and entertained all winter long. And those bike handling skills will be apparent on your next technical mountain bike ride.
