THE WEBCYCLERY STAFF

Kevin Gorman is the owner of WebCyclery. His first real bike was a Rockhopper Comp and his current stable includes a Moots VaMoots S & S road bike built with Record, '93 Bridgestone XO-1 (single speed), a Kelly Knobby X Singlespeed, and an Ellsworth Evolve 29er full suspension bike. His favorite beer is Deschutes Bachelor Bitter. He likes single speeds, nordic skiing and long road rides. His diet consists entirely of turkey samiches, filet mignon, smoothies, and hot chocolate. Single Malt Scotch is also a big favorite. Kevin likes to dress up and make people laugh. For some reason, he owns about 9 pairs of sunglasses and about a dozen watches.

MeanTodd is Kevin's brother, and handles most of the on-line orders that you place as well as being our custom wheel builder. He builds wheels just about every day - about 400-500 wheels a year and Todd is the best wheelbuilder in Central Oregon. He's not really mean - but he can get a little cranky. Todd got married in July '06 to his beautiful fiancé Melissa. His bike collection consists of a Salsa Campeon Road Bike, Scott 29er, Torker Townie Tandem, and a single speed Surly Cross Check. He owns 12 pairs of sunglasses and has more than 15 watches.

Double Clutchin' Dickie G is Dad to Kevin and Todd. Raised in Madison WI, Dick married his college sweetheart, Felicia, in August of 1967. Along with Foster, their huge Golden Retriever, they moved to Bend in 1999. Dickie G rides a Specialized Globe, has 2 pair of sunglasses, and only 8 watches. DickieG is in charge of shipping and does a great job with PR. We appreciate all of his help, and we love him.

Ed Micek is our store manager. When we say he's the best mechanic in Central Oregon we're only saying that because he's truly the best mechanic in Central Oregon. He can also cover most of the moves in a Cat 1 criterium. Before moving to Bend, Ed had managed at a number of really big shops including Maplewood Bicycles in St. Louis and The Bike Gallery in Portland. His current rides include a Co-Motion Espresso with S&S couplers, a Niner Air 9 29er, Bianchi Milano townie bike, Scott Addict (w/ Campy Super 11!) race bike, and a Co-Motion tandem that he rides with his wife and two boys.

Liz Book is the lone woman on our staff and for that we give her sooooo much credit. While tolerating our dudeness she works closely with MeanTodd to process web orders and incoming inventory on a daily basis. Liz can tear it up on a mountain bike and has worked for five years guiding tours for Trek Travel. Liz also teaches nordic ski lessons at Mt Bachelor and knows her way around the germ hut. Miss Book rides a Fuel EX9, XO-1 cross bike, Soho S single speed, and a Schwinn Breeze cruiser. She's the smartest one in the shop, too, or so she tells us.

Henry Abel takes care of the websites, advertising and fru-fru stuff that we do. He also works on most of the special events that we put on throughout the year. Henry is, hands down, the biggest tandem geek that we know. He and his girlfriend, Amy, ride and race road and mountain tandems. Henry owns a SRAM Force equipped Co-Motion Macchiato race tandem, possibly the only 29er singlespeed tandem MTB in the world, a Bianchi Mono-Q carbon road bike, Niner RIP 9 29er, Salsa Chili Con Crosso cross bike, Torker tandem cruiser, and an Ellsworth Witness full-suspension tandem.

Justin Graybeal is our service manager and joined our team after moving to Bend from the big, wet city of Portland. After 14 years as a mechanic he's got some exceptional skills and a black eye for the details. In addition to being a poster boy for Carhartt, he's fluent in all things reggae, can work on the big ol' 1967 WebCyclery team bus, and drives a bad ass jeep with no doors and some diamond plate fenders. We usually see him commuting to work on his old Motobecane singlespeed with the green sparkle paint job that we're all jealous of. He and his wife, Aimee, have a daughter, a dog and like to be outside.

Patrik Zuest is the backbone of our labor department and knows more about Fox suspension than most people we know. He's the former Yeti National Team Mechanic and has also traveled the country turning wrenches and running demo programs for Shimano and Cannondale. When it comes to freeride and DH stuff, Patrik is our resident knuckledragger. Patrik has an Adamant stock trials bike with DayGlo green rims, a collection of downhill bikes, and apparently some kind of road bike - though none of us have ever seen him actually riding it.

Andrey Yarbrough has been with us since 2008 after spending a good chunk of time around Utah and Nevada before that. Andrey has a fantastic sense of humor and usually has a joke and/or dance move to share with customers. He also has amazing taste in sneakers and sweaters.

Bert Hinkley came to us a couple of years ago as he traveled the country looking for a place to call home. He's the guy with the white beard that most people associate with our ski service counter. After a 30 year career teaching at Proctor Academy in Andover, NH. He's our nordic ski expert, and can be seen at most kayak competions in the NW. Bert rides a Redline Conquest Pro CX bike, 10 pairs of Fischer race skis (3 pairs of classics, 7 skates), and rides his bike to work nearly every day - usually carrying a ski bag on his shoulder. Bert's wife, Dani, is one of our most active volunteers at WebCyclery and Webskis events and she and Bert are real assets to our shop.

Jace Ives is easily spotted here at the shop with his amazing sideburns which often seem to double in size overnight. And he's the only one with the stones to climb the giant ladder with a bike to hang from the ceiling here in the shop. Jace rides a dual-sport motorcycle, but is usually commuting to work via bike. He bikes and skis, but is well-known for being a phenomenal trail runner. He's soft spoken, but is actually a ninja and has the funny shoes to prove it.
