The 6th Annual WebCyclery Thrilla Cyclocross Series will consist of four races to be held across the street from Cascade Lakes Lodge on September 3rd, 10th, 17th and October 1st, 2009. Riders can register at each race from 5:00-5:45PM at the race course. Look for the WebCyclery bus.

The use of our 2009 race venue is once again provided by the orthopedic and neurosurgical experts at The Center. We also are working with course neighbors Jack Robinson & Sons to increase the length of the Thrilla course this year! Please let them know how much we all appreciate it! Thank you!

The race course will once again be on the NW corner of Century Drive and Colorado street - across the street from Cascade Lakes Lodge in Bend, Oregon. We will have some big additions to the race course this year that will make it much longer than years past and should help spread out the field - we'll share those with you the night of race #1.

Ride to the course if you can. Parking will be on the street along Chandler Drive on the west side of SW Century Dr (14th Street). Please do not park in the parking lot of Cascade Lakes Lodge.

Classes consist of A's, Masters (40+), B's and Women. This is a very spectator friendly course and a great event for juniors and beginners. The tree-lined course consists of dirt roads, singletrack, a run-up or two, barriers, and a steep descent and climb back up on a dirt road. We will be hiring a water truck to wet parts of the course prior to each race. Whether you're racing or watching - please join us for a great evening of cross racing! Don't forget the after race celebration right across the street at Cascade Lakes Lodge!

All races will begin at 6:00PM. 

Entry cost is $12 per race or $40 for the series plus an OBRA (Oregon Bicycle Racing Association) license. If you wish to race the entire series for the discounted price you must sign up for the series ahead of time at WebCyclery or at the race course before the start of the first nights race (cash or checks only please). Single race registrations are not done in advance and will all be handled at the race course prior to each race.

Annual cyclocross licenses ($10) and One-Day licenses ($5) will be available at the race.

Category winners get free beer from Cascade Lakes Brewery each week, and the overall series winners will get custom trophies from Warren Rice of Realm Cycles in Sisters, Oregon and a free pair of sunglasses from Ryders Eyewear.

IMPORTANT: 2-digit, paper Race numbers will be issued to you by WebCyclery to make scoring and counting laps easier. WE WILL NOT USE YOUR EXISTING OBRA CLOTH NUMBER. KEEP/USE OUR PAPER NUMBER FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES. You must remember to bring it for every race. Numbers to be pinned on your left side. If we can't see it or read it - then we can't score you or count your laps. If you see somebody lining up to race with their number on wrong, or not visible, please let them know. Here's a visual...
